Parents of Henry Scrivener: Frederick Henry Ambrose Scrivener 1813-1891 was a noted Biblical Scholar of the mid-Victorian era, & his wife Anne Scrivenor 1815-1877.
Frederick Scrivener married Anne Blofeld at St Olaves Southwark in 1840.
They had nine children: Henry Ambrose was the second son.

Henry Ambrose Scrivener b.12.09.1842 Sherborne d.1908 aged 65
Date of first apointment as a Navy Paymaster 12.05.1859. Promoted to Assistamt Paymaster September 1863, Paymaster September 1876 and in 1888 [Chief] Fleet Paymaster. He retired c.1899 after a life of naval service all over the world. He was a prolific painter of naval scenes (sketches, watercolours) and many of his works are held by the National Library of New Zealand.

1911 Census: [The Rev'd] Frederick Bickford-Heard (33) of private means; his wife Annie Bickford Heard (38); two servants: Henrietta Perry (41) a cook from Devonshire & Lilian Maria Moon (22) a parlourmaid from Lewes.
The Rev'd Bickford-Heard and his wife had been married for four years. As yet they had no children.

1921 Census: William Hamilton Drummond (57) Minister of Religion; his wife Alice Drummond (56) and their children: Walter James Drummond (30) a naval architect; Ruth Drummond (24) demonstrator in chemistry, Bedford College, London; Alice Muriel Drummond (22) a student; Marjorie Warham, a visitor, and lastly one general domestic servant, Susan Freeman, from London.
The Rev'd Drummond worked for the International Congress of True Christians, University Hall [Universty of London] Gordon Square W.C.
He died in Oxford in 1945 aged 81.
